Imgembed testing

UPDATE: I complain below about some limited functionality (none) when asked to select a country, and in a surprising, (and much appreciated) twist, Benjamin from Imgembed commented and said they’ve already fixed the issue. I tried and sure enough, I was able to easily change the country field and add relevant data. Great customer service and a dev team that is responsive and quick to act has the potential to set Imgembed apart. I hope they keep it up! Thanks, Benjamin.

I read on Peta Pixel earlier this week about a new image hosting and sharing service that treats images more like YouTube treats video.

Bonneville Salt Flats Gallery Added

I’ve added a gallery of photos from the Bonneville Salt Flats over the years to the collections page. If you’ve known me for long you’ve no doubt seen some of the images before but there are some I’ve never posted. All are black and white. If you enjoy them, let me know – share them around, etc.

Thanks for looking.

Saguaro National Park

On the first leg of the DISPATCH Tour, Leah and I made it to Tucson, Az, and spent the morning in Saguaro National Park. It’s a very small park, just on the east side of Tucson. We got there early enough to see a Desert Jackrabbit, 5 Coyotes, and a Roadrunner. It felt cold as Utah before the sun broke cover over the mountains to the east, but as soon as first light hit things warmed right up. Very neat drive through some fascinating country. We really enjoyed seeing the cactus. Here’s some photos from the park.

DISPATCH Tour Chloride, AZ

On the first leg of the DISPATCH Tour (Deseret Industries Super Photo Adventure Tour) we drove past (and stopped) at Chloride, Arizona. It’s an awful tourist trap of a ghost town, but it was fun to see and we got some cool photos.

DISPATCH Tour

Last week Leah and I started some sort of thrift store madness in what we’ve taken to calling the DISPATCH Tour. It might or might not stand for Deseret Industries Super Photo Adventure Tour.

Black and White Photography from Holbrook, Arizona

Black and White Photography from Holbrook, Arizona.

I’ve added a new gallery to the collections page – a series of black and white photographs from our recent first leg of the Deseret Industries Super Photo Adventure Tour – or DISPATCH as we’ve been calling it (we’ve had some good suggestions for the “CH” portion – “Claw Hammer” and “Cool Harleys” are two that come to mind – anything’s better than “Chicken Head”, which was my first thought.) To check out the photos skip on over to the gallery here, or click the image below. Thanks for looking.

Dispatch video

I tried making a video… like I said in the description on Youtube, I’m sure a 14 year old with a 3rd hand Dell running XP could do a better job at making a video. It was fun though….
